It’s time for a QLOCKTWO!

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” Charles Darwin

British Summer Time is officially here. Clocks sprang forward at 1am on the last Sunday in March and for the next six months we can all enjoy an extra hour of sunlight in the evenings.  The 100th Anniversary of BST prompted a discussion here at Sarah Jane Nielsen and we wanted to share with you how much we love the super-cool range of clocks on our www.nielsenhouse.co.uk website.  In fact, we’re so smitten by our QLOCKTWO http://www.nielsenhouse.co.uk/brand/qlocktwo range that visitors to our Staveley studio will note that one of these stunning pieces has pride of place in our reception area!

With a jumble of letters that illuminate when plugged in, time seems to talk to us.  “It is half past seven,” it tells us. But QLOCKTWO’s collection of clocks and watches are not only functional, they are also must-have objects of desire.  Sleek and uber-funky, they are available in a wide selection of striking colours. Choose a shade that will subtly complement your room scheme – black ice tea, dark chocolate, white vanilla sugar or a choice of metallics: stainless steel, smooth gold, platinum, rust or raw iron. Or be bold and opt for the one of the brights to make a delicious stand-out statement – go for tasty cherry cake red, royal blackberry, vibrant blue candy or a sophisticated lime juice.

For our own Sarah Jane Nielsen studio, we were spoilt for choice - but in the end we went for milky white for the longevity this neutral vanilla piece offers and because it fits well with the many swatches of fabrics, wallpapers and other pieces that we have displayed in our office. (Top tip  - when making your design decisions, don’t forget the context in which your new piece will sit.)

Tempting too is the black QLOCKTWO piece we have just ordered for a batchelor pad we are currently working on – we know it’s going to look fantastic and add a masculine edge to the Lichen Green wall we have allocated this for. And the stainless steel version, with its contemporary nod to an industrial aesthetic, is just the business if you’re looking for a statement piece for your kitchen that will match your state-of-the-art appliances.

For 2016, bold remains bright and beautiful and right on trend. We’re all for adding the zesty lime clock to a citrus orange or eye-catching pink wall. Or go for drama and hang one of the new metallic tones of copper or red gold against a minimalist black background.

It’s also worth noting that although the LED displays require an electricity supply, QLOCKTWO pieces come with Perspex stands and co-ordinating colour cables for maximum flexibility. Hang yours on your wall or pop it on your table. But if you prefer a timepiece on your wrist, there’s a great range of watches too in a choice of finishes, including a rose gold casing set against a simple black face – perfect for the fashion conscious.

These are not just about form and function, QLOCKTWO timespieces are reassuringly well built. Made in Germany, the casings and internal works are robust – and this compelling combination of outstanding design, superior quality construction and innovation, explains why QLOCKTWO’s exclusive range has attracted more than a dozen prestigious industry awards.

We’re highly impressed – but it seems our customers are too! As we head towards Summer, timepieces from QLOCKTWO are proving to be one of our most popular purchases.
